Sargent & Lundy Announces 2017 Executive Appointments

Sargent & Lundy LLC is pleased to announce several executive appointments effective in January 2017.


February 1, 2017 - Sargent & Lundy LLC is pleased to announce several executive appointments effective in January 2017.

Joseph A. DiCola has been appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Joseph Matthew Cole, Matthew B. Cooper, Douglas E. Johnson, and James W. Malone have been appointed vice presidents.

DiCola, based at the firm's Chicago headquarters, will report to Executive Vice President and General Counsel Michael Helminski, who he succeeds as CFO. DiCola directs all areas of the firm’s finance organization, including financial planning & analysis, corporate and project accounting, treasury, tax and the firm’s defined benefit plan. He is a licensed PE with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana‐Champaign and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Cole is a project director for Sargent & Lundy's Power Delivery Services group at its Chattanooga, Tennessee regional office. He is responsible for directing substation upgrade projects and new substation and transmission line work throughout the Tennessee Valley. Cole earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Tennessee Technological University and a Master of Science in engineering management from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is a licensed PE.

Cooper is a project director for Sargent & Lundy's Nuclear Power group at the firm’s Warrenville, Illinois regional office. He is responsible for directing nuclear services for multiple operating nuclear power plants. He earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Iowa and a Master of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is a licensed PE.

Johnson is a project director located in New York, managing multiple Nuclear Power projects. He is responsible for directing modification projects for multiple operating nuclear power plant units. He has a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is a licensed PE.

Malone is the director for business development for Sargent & Lundy's Fossil Power group, based at the firm's Chicago headquarters. He manages the firm’s relationship with a number of clients throughout the U.S. and Canada. Malone is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and an MBA from the University of Denver. He is a licensed PE.
