Andrew Taylor Joins Sargent & Lundy as Nuclear License Renewal Expert

Firm reinforces committment to license renewal business


January 16, 2017 - Sargent & Lundy LLC is pleased to announce Andrew Taylor has joined the firm’s Nuclear Power group to manage its license renewal business.

In his role, which is a newly formed position for the firm, Mr. Taylor is responsible for the firm’s preparation of license renewal applications (LRAs) and second license renewal applications (SLRAs) for Sargent & Lundy’s clients. This includes directing integrated plant analyses, evaluation of time-limited aging analyses, review of aging management programs and development of environmental reports. In addition, Taylor will spearhead Sargent & Lundy’s ongoing support of industry groups such as the Nuclear Energy Institute’s (NEI) License Renewal Task Force and associated working groups, and will coordinate industry review of Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and NEI guidance for subsequent license renewal.

Taylor joins Sargent & Lundy after 30 years at Entergy Services, Inc., including 14 years with Entergy’s nuclear license renewal group. He is also a retired U.S. Navy Reserve captain with 30 years of service.

He is a licensed professional engineer (PE) with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Oklahoma, as well as a Master of Science in operations management from the University of Arkansas.
