September 30, 2022 – Sargent & Lundy is hosting an American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Performance Test Code (PTC) 46 Committee meeting October 11-13 at its Chicago headquarters. The working meeting will continue to develop the next revision of the ASME PTC 46 code.
ASME PTC 46 provides explicit methods and procedures for combined cycle power plants and for most gas, liquid, and solid fueled Rankine cycle plants. The PTC 46 Committee provides procedures for conducting tests and analyses to determine the overall performance of thermal and electrical power generation and other conversion facilities.
Key topics for the meeting include:
- Application of the test code on combined cycle plants.
- Consideration of combined heat and power.
- Performance test uncertainty analyses.
