March 29, 2016 - Sargent & Lundy has been named to the 2016 Forbes magazine "America's Best Midsize Employers" list. The list of the top 250 midsize companies was announced on the Forbes website, with Sargent & Lundy coming in at #149.

As reported by Forbes, the 2016 rankings were determined by an anonymous online survey of more than 30,000 employees at companies with at least 1,000 people. The survey spanned more than 1,900 mid-size and large U.S. companies, nonprofits, government agencies, and U.S. divisions of multinationals. The midsize list ranks companies with 1,000 to 5,000 employees.

"We're always honored to receive recognition," said CEO Tom White. "It's especially meaningful when it comes from our employees saying that Sargent & Lundy is among the best employers in the country."

Forbes, in partnership with online statistics provider Statista.com, conducts the workplace satisfaction survey anonymously and without the involvement of employers. Survey participants are asked to rate both their own employer and other employers.

In compiling the Top Employers lists, Forbes says the willingness to recommend one’s own employer was the most important metric of their assessment. The questions included asking employees to determine, on a scale from 0 to 10, how likely they were to recommend their employer to someone else.
