Annual Golf Fundraiser Supports Boys and Girls Clubs

Boys and Girls Clubs wins at Lundy Legends Cup

December 1, 2015 - Sargent & Lundy’s 38th Annual Lundy Legends Golf outing featured foursomes of Sargent & Lundy employees and Officers who teamed up to compete for the coveted Lundy Legends Cup. This year 284 golfers from across the company participated in golf, dinner, and raising money for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago.

The “Beat the Executive Challenge” was a popular event, with CEO Tom White and Executive VPs Delfo Bianchini and Jack Daly stationed at par 3 holes. Challengers made donations for a chance to get closer to the pin than the executive and win a prize.

Other fundraising efforts included yard games and a silent auction, which had some outstanding auction items including unique gift baskets, brewery tours, and Chicago Blackhawks tickets. Through the event and donations from individuals across the company, the event raised just over $54,000.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago provides 16 clubs that give young people ages 6 – 18 a safe place to learn, grow ongoing relationships with caring adult professionals, and benefit from a well-rounded lineup of structured and tested programs.
