January 16, 2017 - Sargent & Lundy LLC is pleased to announce Ejaz Shameem has been appointed director of the Energy Business Consulting group effective in January 2017. He replaces the recently retired Richard Knoebel.

In his new role, Mr. Shameem is responsible for the overall management and direction of Sargent & Lundy’s Energy Business Consulting group’s various global engagements spanning development, planning, oversight and operations and maintenance support for all power technologies.

Shameem joined Sargent & Lundy in 1985 and has held roles of increasing responsibility in the design of power plants encompassing an array of power generating technologies including coal, natural gas, oil and nuclear. Most recently, he served as project director for several large international gas-fired and coal-fired new generation projects. He also led a substantial technology transfer and collaboration agreement with a major international power project engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor.

He is a licensed professional engineer (PE) with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago, as well as a Bachelor of Science in physics from the University of the Punjab in Pakistan.
