January 16, 2016 - Congratulations to Sargent & Lundy's Bo Johnston and Tom Musto on being named to the Engineering News-Record Top 20 Under 40 Class of 2016 Midwest Region. The annual ENR Top 20 competition celebrates the excellence and accomplishments of outstanding young professionals working in the engineering, design, and construction industry. The winners are chosen by a panel of industry judges based on their career experience, professional leadership, and commitment to the industry and their communities.

ENR Midwest announced the 2016 winners on its website, and the honorees will be profiled in the February 8, 2015, issue of the industry publication.

Johnston's experience spans diverse power generation new-build and retrofits projects. His most recent accomplishment is managing all mechanical engineering & design work for a new coal-fired power plant in Panama. The effort includes coordinating the related activities of major project participants based in Korea, Germany, India, and Panama along with other global suppliers of equipment and systems. Johnston's volunteer work centers on local organizations that provide programs and mentoring for students living in Chicago neighborhoods that are very challenging environments for making positive choices.

Musto's responsibilities include leading the large staff of mechanical engineers that supports all nuclear power projects managed in our Chicago headquarters. Earlier assignments include project manager for major capital improvement programs for nuclear utility clients. Musto is an active contributor to ASME Codes & Standards work, currently serving as a Subcommittee and a Working Group Chair and participating in five other ASME committees. As for community service, his volunteer work includes a local homeless shelter and several organizations that provide food and education opportunities locally and internationally.
