April 14, 2016  - Marc Lemmons and Bryan McGowan of Sargent & Lundy will present their paper "Conversion of Coal-Fired Electric Generating Units to Natural Gas Fired Units" at the Natural Gas Plant Development, Commissioning & Construction Conference in Philadelphia, Pa., on May 4 - 5, 2016. This paper will provide a general assessment of various coal to natural gas conversion projects, addressing considerations for project technical feasibility, including boiler thermal performance modeling and project planning. Additional topics will include regulations, code compliance, natural gas piping systems, air pollution control equipment, draft systems, and the retirement of existing coal equipment.
