Presenting on Carbon Capture and Sequestration Application and Considerations on Existing Coal-Fired Power Plants

March 13, 2018 - Sargent & Lundy is attending the 2018 Electric Power Conference and Exhibition, which runs in conjunction with the Carbon Capture Utilization & Storage Conference. The conference takes place March 19-22 in Nashville, Tennessee. See Sargent & Lundy’s Danielle Flagg as she presents at the event and learn more about our carbon capture experience as well as other advanced environmental technology services that we offer.

Carbon Capture Sequestration Application and Considerations on Existing Coal-Fired Power Plants will presented by Danielle Flagg, co-authored by Raj Gaikwad and Emily Kunkel, all of Sargent & Lundy. This will be a presentation on potential design and operating considerations of a carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) system on existing coal-fired power plants. It will highlight parameters that need to be evaluated for utility consumption, as well as balance-of-plant impacts and permitting considerations. Case studies will be provided based on a typical commercially available technology. Additionally, order-of-magnitude capital and operating costs will be presented for implementation at existing facilities.
