Transmission Line and Substation Engineering Design Course Dates Announced

Four-day courses offer specialized expertise for utility industry professionals

March 22, 2024 – Sargent & Lundy will again offer its popular transmission line and substation design training in June and September 2024. Now in their 30th year, the four-day sessions are led by senior engineers experienced in infrastructure design and are held in the firm’s Chicago office.

The courses are designed for utility industry engineers, project managers, and other professionals with all levels of experience who want to gain a better understanding of transmission line or substation design. Each course provides an overview and general understanding of design and engineering and gives participants an opportunity to learn by completing exercises based on real-world projects. Upon completion of the course, participants may earn 32 professional development hours.

The courses have been offered since 1994 and more than 4,000 managers, engineers, and designers from electric power companies around the world have learned from our experience. All courses are also available to utilities to be conducted in-house at their chosen sites.
