Sargent & Lundy Announces 2018 Vice President Appointments

Congratulations to our 2018 vice president appointees


January 3, 2018 – Sargent & Lundy LLC is pleased to announce its 2018 executive appointments. The following staff members have been appointed vice presidents.

Thomas S. Foley is a vice president and project director for Sargent & Lundy’s Power Delivery group based out of Wilmington, Delaware. He also leads power delivery efforts for the firm’s Hamilton, New Jersey, and Charlotte, North Carolina, offices. Foley is a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and has an MBA from Saint Joseph's University. He is a member of the Ohio State University Nuclear Engineering Advisory board and is a licensed Professional Engineer.

Michelle L. Hack is a vice president and project director for Sargent & Lundy’s Power Delivery group based at the firm's Chicago headquarters. She is responsible for directing engineering and design services for new and existing transmission, distribution and renewable energy projects for key clients as well as business development in renewable energy markets. Prior to joining S&L, she was a substation engineer for Xcel Energy. Michelle earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado (Denver). She is a licensed Professional Engineer.

Vincent T. Heinz is a vice president and project director for Sargent & Lundy’s Power Delivery group. Based in Chicago, he manages engineering-procure-construct (EPC) programs for key clients as well as multiple engineering-only substation projects. Prior to joining the firm’s Power Delivery group, Heinz worked in Sargent & Lundy’s Fossil Power group on multiple large environmental retrofit projects, including the Kansas City Power & Light La Cygne EPC project. Heinz earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a licensed Professional Engineer.

Brian P. Kelley is a vice president and project director in Sargent & Lundy’s Power Delivery group in Chicago, managing substation and transmission engineering services for key clients, as well as supporting interconnection work. Kelley is responsible for proposing, planning, organizing, executing, and controlling engineering services associated with modifications, analyses, and supplemental staffing. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and is a licensed Professional Engineer.

Nicholas D. Vilione is a vice president and senior project manager for Sargent & Lundy’s Nuclear Power group in Chicago. He currently manages multiple nuclear projects in the U.S. and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Vilione is responsible for the direction and coordination of engineering services for design modifications, studies, and large digital upgrade projects. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
