November 8, 2019 – Sargent & Lundy has been awarded a Top Workplaces honor by the Chicago Tribune for the fifth consecutive year. The firm ranked 25 in the Large Employers category.
The honor is determined by feedback collected from anonymous employee surveys that measure several aspects of workplace culture including alignment, execution, and connection.
Sargent & Lundy received its highest survey score in response to the statement, "At Sargent & Lundy we do things efficiently and well." Survey results also indicated that employees believe senior managers are clued in and understand what’s really happening at Sargent & Lundy. Additionally, employees believe the company is going in the right direction. Responses to this statement had the greatest year-over-year improvement and correlated to high engagement scores.
“Earning a place on the Chicago Tribune’s Top Workplaces list for a fifth consecutive year is a testament to the passion our team puts forth every day to deliver innovative solutions that make a meaningful impact,” said Sargent & Lundy Chairman, President & CEO Tom White. “It’s our people that truly sets us apart, so it’s of the utmost importance to us that we invest in our employees’ success and foster a workplace environment that empowers them to grow personally and professionally.”
The firm is committed to helping its employees advance in their careers and offers a variety of benefits and programs to support employee growth, including a mentorship program, tuition assistance, generous paid time off, onsite wellness screenings, learning and development opportunities, company clubs, and intramural teams.
The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools.
“The Top Workplaces award is about much more than recognition and celebration,” said CEO of Energage Eric Rubino. “Our research also shows that these organizations achieve higher referral rates, lower employee turnover, and double the employee engagement levels. It just goes to show that being intentional about culture delivers bottom-line results.”
