October 11, 2023 - Sargent & Lundy participated in the Professional College of Engineers and Land Surveyors of Puerto Rico convention August 3-6 in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. In addition to being a lead sponsor of the event, the firm had a strong presence throughout the conference, with Patrick Daou presenting on hydrogen and renewable energy and Luis Jimenez and Tomas Velez delivering a presentation on the effects of distributed energy resources on distribution systems. Pedro Bengochea and Samuel Lewis Torres also participated in the event, sharing a presentation on the challenges of building high voltage lines in Puerto Rico.
This was the 85th year for the CIAPR convention, and Sargent & Lundy’s first year as a participating sponsor. The firm’s sponsorship supported a golf outing and energy module at the event, as well as a booth for the Ex Alumni Office of the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez.
