October 17, 2023 – For the fifth straight year, Sargent & Lundy’s Delaware employees gave the firm a spot on The News Journal’s Top Workplaces list. The firm ranked 12th among midsize employers with fewer than 400 people.
The annual rankings are based on anonymous employee surveys that measure workplace culture, engagement, leadership, and whether employees feel fairly valued through pay, benefits, and work-life flexibility. The results are compiled and analyzed by Energage, LLC, a research and consulting firm that tracks employee engagement.
Sargent & Lundy’s Delaware employees gave the highest ratings to the company’s leadership and culture, responding positively to questions about the firm moving in the right direction, nurturing an inclusive workplace, and encouraging different points of view. The company’s commitment to innovation by encouraging new ideas throughout the organization also ranked high among employees.
“Earning this recognition as a Top Workplace for the past five years speaks volumes about the Sargent & Lundy culture,” said Sargent & Lundy CEO Victor Suchodolski. “This is not something that happens by chance. As a team in Delaware, and in our offices throughout the country, we know the importance of having a highly engaged workforce that is respected and valued for their work and know the company is moving in the right direction. It’s part of our core values to provide an environment where people can thrive, and we live up to that every day.”
Sargent & Lundy has also been continuously included among the Chicago Tribune’s Top Workplaces since 2015 in addition to being named a Top Workplaces USA employer for the last three years – since the honor was established. These recognitions illustrate one of the firm’s six core values – “Our People: We value diverse perspectives, encourage professional growth, and are committed to providing a work community where people thrive. Our work is challenging but rewarding.”
