September 29,2022 – The Structural Engineering Institute (SEI) of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is hosting the Electrical Transmission & Substation Structures (ETS) conference October 2-6 in Orlando, Florida. Sargent & Lundy is hosting booth #306, where several members of its electric grid infrastructure services team look forward to sharing innovative and unique ways the firm can help achieve ambitious energy goals.
Sargent & Lundy offers the following key comprehensive technologies and services:
- Transmission line engineering services.
- Substation engineering services.
- Renewable energy interconnections (wind, solar, battery energy storage).
- Distribution engineering services.
- Electric vehicle (EV) solutions – charging station design and considerations.
- Transmission line and substation engineering training courses.
The ETS conference will provide a forum for transmission and substation engineers to exchange ideas, concepts, and philosophies while providing new engineers with the opportunity to learn more about the art and science specific to transmission lines and structures, substation structures, and foundation engineering.
SEI was established in 1996 to serve the unique needs of the structural engineering community while influencing change on the broader issues shaping the entire civil engineering community. The organization is a vibrant community of more than 30,000 structural engineers within ASCE. SEI involves all facets of the structural engineering community including practicing engineers, students, research scientists, academics, technologists, material suppliers, contractors, and owners and is committed to advancing and serving the structural engineering profession while influencing change on broader issues that shape the entire civil engineering community.
