October 18, 2023 – This year’s Lundy Legends golf outing lived up to its name, raising a record $61,000 and attracting more legendary players than ever before.
The 46th annual outing far exceeded its fundraising goal of $50,000. All proceeds of the event benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago, which serves thousands of youth annually across the city.
“This fantastic event unites employees from across all our business groups as one Sargent & Lundy, supporting safe and caring environments for the youth of Chicago to thrive,” said event chair Matt Briscoe in announcing the results of this year’s outing. “We should all be proud to have set a new benchmark for this event to surpass in the future.”
More than 430 Sargent & Lundy employees teamed up in foursomes across four different golf courses to compete for this years’ top prizes.
Sargent & Lundy leaders, including President and CEO Vic Suchodolski, helped propel this year’s fundraising totals as golfers dueled to “Beat the Executive” and get their ball closest to the pin. Participants also had the chance to win Yeti coolers, golf bags, and equipment along with Bluetooth speakers in a raffle following the outing.
The annual Lundy Legends outing is just one way the firm strives to have a meaningful impact in the communities it serves. Over the years, the outing has raised more than $500,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago is one of the oldest youth development organizations in the city. Serving thousands of young people annually at 24 club locations, the Boys & Girls Club of Chicago works to equip members with the emotional, educational, physical, and cultural resources that allow them to enjoy their childhood and thrive in adulthood.
