December 21, 2018 – Sargent & Lundy hosted an expert-led webinar, Regional Haze Rule Second Implementation Period, on Jan. 15. The webinar, available for viewing above, covers the State Implementation Plan (SIP) development process and help attendees understand how the rule may affect their facility.
Unlike the first planning period, which focused primarily on emissions from electric utility generating stations, the second planning period will expand the scope of the rule to include certain industrial sources and source categories.
Although second planning period SIPs are not due until July 2021, several states have initiated their SIP development programs, and industrial sources should keep up to date with the rulemaking process.
The webinar discusses…
The SIP development process, including the process states will use to:
- Identify affected emission sources
- Evaluate emission control technologies
- Model emission impacts
- Identify emission reductions required during the second planning period
The webinar also walks through a sample timeline and identifies the studies and evaluations needed to support SIP development.
Who should view this webinar?
Facility decision-makers and environmental managers impacted by the second planning period of regional haze SIPs will find valuable insight in this webinar.
